Silence is like food to me.
I love it. I crave it. I feel most connected to myself and others in silence. That is why I have gone to the desert to attend a Centering Prayer Retreat with Cynthia Bourgeault, a great teacher of the Contemplative Wisdom path. So this blog will be brief. I thought I would just share some Silence Quotes with you.

In its presence we can remember something beyond the moment, a strength on which to build a life. Silence is a place of great power and healing. ~ Rachel Remen
“Silence is only frightening to people who are compulsively verbalizing.” ― William S. Burroughs,
Silence is the ocean in which all the rivers of all the religions discharge themselves.~ Thayumanavar
The world of men has forgotten the joys of silence, the peace of solitude, which is necessary, to some extent, for the fullness of human living.~ Thomas Merton
